Believe it or not, I don’t do family sessions outside of weddings all that often. I’m not really sure why — it’s just never been something I’ve taken on frequently.

But every once in a while, when the right people ask, I’ll say yes… and this family just so happened to be related to Brady, so there was no way I could turn it down.

We decided to do their session at in Allendale, a place I’ve shot at before, and every single time I go I feel like I discover something new to love about it. The light, the scenery, and the peaceful feel of it always make it such a beautiful spot for family photos.

This fall has been nothing short of beautiful — the colors, the weather, everything. It almost feels like time has slowed down, like we’re frozen in one of those perfect in-between moments since the leaves don’t usually last this long. Not that I’m complaining at all.

It’s been one of those seasons where you just want to pause and take it all in a little longer.
