This session truly felt like a full circle moment for me. Years ago, I actually photographed Kaitlyn’s senior session, so when she reached out asking me to do her headshots, I was beyond excited.

I’ve known Kaitlyn for years. We used to ride horses together at and spent so much time showing together growing up. Being able to reconnect and photograph her again after all these years felt incredibly special.

Our friend Tina was kind enough to let us use her property for the session, which made it even more meaningful since horses have always been such a big part of both of our lives. The entire evening felt so natural and nostalgic in the best way, and honestly reminded me just how small and connected the horse world really is.

Kaitlyn is actually a photographer as well! She primarily shoots hockey, but she’s also been working toward getting into the wedding industry — which is where I hope to be someday too. It’s been really inspiring to see her build in that direction while also staying true to her own niche.

It’s one of those full-circle friendships where we’ve both grown up in the same horse world and now find ourselves chasing similar creative paths, just in different ways.
